Our Story
Vince Lepiane - Founder of APEX Goalkeeper Training
Vince Lepiane is a dedicated and experienced goalkeeper trainer based in Niagara, bringing a wealth of playing and coaching experience to every session. With a career that spans playing internationally in England and representing both his province and Canada on the world stage, Vince has built a reputation as a highly skilled and knowledgeable coach.
His playing career includes winning a National Championship at Brock University and representing Team Canada at the World University Games in South Korea. As a goalkeeper, Vince has faced some of the best, and that experience fuels his passion to teach the next generation of keepers. Recently, Vince was inducted into the Niagara Sports Wall of Fame for his outstanding contributions and achievements in soccer, a testament to his dedication to the sport and his community.
Vince holds numerous National and Provincial Coaching certifications, including the prestigious CONCACAF Youth Goalkeeping License and ISSPF Professional Youth License. His thirst for knowledge continues, and he regularly works with mentors from top-tier Italian clubs such as Genoa CFC (Serie A) and Pescara Calcio (Serie C), ensuring that his training methods stay on the cutting edge of world-class goalkeeper development.
Founded in 2022, APEX Goalkeeper Training was born out of Vince’s desire to give back to the community that supported him throughout his journey. Vince felt it was the perfect time to share his extensive knowledge and experience with the next generation of goalkeepers in Niagara and beyond.
At APEX Goalkeeper Training, Vince has created a unique training environment—one that isn’t just a "one-size-fits-all" program. Instead, it’s a dynamic space where goalkeepers are challenged to push their limits, refine their technique, and grow in every session. Vince takes the time to personalize each workout, ensuring that every goalkeeper develops strong fundamentals while embracing hard work and dedication in every rep.
For Vince, everything starts with a "Why." His "Why" is simple yet powerful: To create champions on and off the field! This philosophy drives everything he does, from his coaching approach to the development of his athletes as individuals and leaders.
Vince is also the Men’s Goalkeeper Coach at Brock University and serves as the Technical Lead with Niagara FC and the OPDL program in Niagara Falls, further strengthening his commitment to the development of aspiring goalkeepers.
